Monochrome Gallery

Some of the images you see here were printed and toned in a traditional darkroom and then scanned for use on this site. A few years ago I decided to take the plunge and shut up my darkroom for good and go totally digital. As you'll see from the description with each image, they are mainly all  shot on either black & white or colour film.  I then scan my negs/slides using a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual 3 and manipulate them with Photoshop.  I do try and create the type of image I previously produced in the darkroom ........It sure beats messing around with smelly chemicals and sitting in front of a PC is a bit more civilized and just as much fun!

I've now gone totally digital and you'll now find some of these images have been shot on my Canon EOS digital SLR's.
