Reportage Photo-Journalism Documentary
Reportage photography also known as documentary or photo-journalism photography is all about story telling. It is not simply candid photography, it's about documenting the greatest day in a couples lives, capturing the moments, the humour, the tears and the laughter. It's not about posing or taking time away from your guests. It's not about creating or posing the perfect picture, it's about capturing the truth and realism of the actual moment. Reportage photos may not be flawless but they are perfect at capturing the atmosphere and raw emotion of a wedding day! For us, it's about standing back and letting things happen naturally. We do realise that some couples will want some posed photos together and that a few group shots may also be needed, but to keep the photography to a more documentary style we limit these to 15 minutes with the bride & groom for a few photos together and a maximum of six group shots.
So if you don't like posing for photos and want to spend the whole day with your guests this is the package for you. Like many photographers, we love black & white photos, we also feel that black & white works great for photo-journalism. Although you can have your photos in colour, we will give you a discount if you decide to have them all 100% black & white.
