Wedding Photography & Filming Pricing
Our photography packages include a range of images in colour and black & white. Your wedding proofs are presented in your own gallery within our secure client area which will be available for 6 months after your wedding. This enables your family and friends to view your wedding photos online with the option of ordering a range of products if required. Our product range includes digital downloads, prints, enlargements, framed prints and a selection of special presentation products. We are based in Scotland, but travel across the UK. All packages include travel costs UK wide (excluding ferries costs & overnight accommodation).
Our Full Day Package includes up to 10 hours of photographic coverage usually starting with bridal preparations (at the venue) to the end of the 3rd dance. Coverage includes photos of the bridal preparations, photos of the groom, best man & ushers arriving at the venue, photos of the bridesmaids & brides arrival, photos during the ceremony if allowed, photos of close family group members, photos of the wedding party and personal photos of the bride & groom. Your wedding is photographed in a mix of classic/traditional and natural/reportage style. Our Half Day Package includes up to 6 hours of photographic coverage. Additional hours are charged at £75 per hour.
Photography Only Packages
Package A - Full Day Photography
Full day photographic coverage from the preparations (at the venue) to the third dance.
Package Includes the following:
- Pre wedding consultation
- Pre wedding photo shoot (1 hr)
- Up to 10 hours of photography by a qualified professional photographer
- A secure online gallery for family and friends to view and, if required, order a range of printed products
- Approx. 550 - 600 print ready high-resolution photos with print licence via digital download
- Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance
- Download your high-resolution digital photos from your own personal gallery
- Location aerial photography included (subject to weather and location restrictions)
Package B - Half Day Photography
Half day photographic coverage. Choose from either, from the preparations (venue only) to the speeches (prior to meal) or from the ceremony to the third dance.
Package Includes the following:
- Pre wedding consultation
- Up to 6 hours of photography by a qualified professional photographer
- A secure online gallery for family and friends to view and, if required, order a range of printed products
- Approx. 450 print ready high-resolution photos with print licence via digital download
- Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance
- Download your high-resolution digital photos from your own personal gallery
- Location aerial photography included (subject to weather and location restrictions)
Package C - Full Day Photography plus 12x10" Storybook Album
A full day photography package plus a 12x10" Storybook Album with photo cover.
Package Includes:
- As Package A plus the following
- Up to 60 images in a 12x10" 30-page Photo Cover Storybook Album
- Album proofs emailed prior to going to print
- Options to add extra pages and/or upgrade the cover
- Optional Parent Albums available
Package D - Half Day Photography plus 12x10" Storybook Album
A half day photography package plus a 12x10" Storybook Album with photo cover.
Package Includes:

As Package A plus filming of your ceremony, speeches and first dance with unmanned video cameras and professional mics.
Package Includes the following:
- One operator (photographer)

- Up to 10 hours of photography by a qualified professional photographer
- A secure online photo gallery for family and friends to view and, if required, order a range of printed products
- Video presentation via Vidflow gallery (downloads available for up to 10 years)
- Approx. 500 print ready high-resolution photos with print licence via digital download
- HD Films of full ceremony, full speeches and first dance via digital download
- Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance

- Location aerial photography included (subject to weather and location restrictions)
This package is ideally suited to smaller weddings and only available at venue weddings (not suitable for church/chapel weddings). If you are looking for full day photo & video coverage, please see Package F below.
Package F - The ULTIMATE Full Day Photo & Video Package! Our Most Popular Package!
As Package A plus filming of your wedding day by an additional cameraman from the morning preparations (at the venue) to the third dance.
Package Includes the following:
- One Photographer & One Videographer
- Pre wedding consultation
- Pre wedding photo shoot (1 hr)
- Up to 10 hours of photography & videography
- A secure online photo gallery for family and friends to view and, if required, order a range of printed products
- Video presentation via Vidflow gallery (downloads available for up to 10 years)
- Approx. 550-600 print ready high resolution photos with print licence via digital download
- Full HD wedding film (60-90mins) plus 5 mins highlights film
- Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance
- Download your high-resolution digital photos & video from your own personal gallery
- Location aerial photography included (subject to weather and location restrictions)
Optional Upgrades:
- 2nd Photographer - £350
- Pre wedding photo shoot - £150 (included for free with full day package)

Wedding Video Only Packages
Package G - One Cameraman Video Package
A full day videography package with coverage from the morning preparations (at the venue) to the third dance.
Package Includes the following:
- One operator (videographer)
- Pre wedding consultation
- Up to 9 hours of filming from bridal prep (at venue) to the third dance
- Full HD wedding film (60-90mins) plus 5 mins highlights film
- One minute teaser film (teaser film usually available within 48hrs)
- Video presentation via Vidflow gallery (downloads available for up to 10 years)
- Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance
- Location aerial filming included (subject to weather and location restrictions)
Package H - Two Cameraman Video Package
As package G plus an additional cameraman, with coverage from the morning preparations (at the venue) to the third dance.
Package Includes the following:
- Two operators (videographers)
- Pre wedding consultation
- Up to 9 hours of filming from bride & groom prep (at venue) to the third dance
- Full HD wedding film (60-90mins) plus 5 mins highlights film
- One minute teaser film (teaser film usually available within 48hrs)
- Video presentation via Vidflow gallery (downloads available for up to 10 years)
- Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance

How To Book:
If you wish to book John Carroll Photography for your wedding, then the first thing you have to do is check we are available for your big day. We can be booked up to two years in advance for Friday and Saturday weddings during the peak wedding months (May to September) and usually between 6-12 months for all other days & dates. To check our availability, you can complete our contact form, email us or telephone us on 07429 429190.
When we confirm your date is free, all you have to do to secure our services for your wedding day is to pay the booking fee of £250. This can be done in person if you'd like to meet us before making a booking. If you want to make sure you don't miss out on your preferred date, you can pay your booking fee by cash or bank transfer (BACS). BACS details available on request.
Please note, all bookings are taken on a 'first come, first served' basis. What this means is that the first person to pay the booking fee secures the date. Unfortunately, we cannot take provisional bookings.
Payment of the relevant booking fee confirms your booking and is deductible from your package price with the balance due 2 months before the date of your wedding. Failure to pay balance by due date will be taken as an indication of cancellation of booking, with loss of booking fee. Dates are reserved only when the booking fee is paid. We also require a signed booking form. Upon signature of booking agreement John Carroll Photography reserves the time and date agreed upon, and will not make any other reservations for that time and date.
